As a Traveler

Can children travel with Sailing Yachts Greece?

To use the website and the services we offer, you must be 18 years of age or older. This means that you can create an account to travel or charter, only if you are at least 18 years old.

Whether infants or children are permitted on board, completely depends on the owner of the yacht. If an owner has chosen to set the regulations on their listings “Suitable for children” – “Suitable for infants” this means that they are permitted. In any case, it would be good to talk with the owner because they may accept children without having mentioned it on their regulations.

You must provide the exact number of guests when you make reservation requests, including the number of children and infants. Specify the details of your reservations (e.g. people who will travel with you) to the owner of the yacht through the messaging system on the website after you submit a reservation request.

Can I visit a listing before I make a reservation?

We recommend that all owners and guests to complete their reservations through our website before meeting in person, to ensure their safety and their privacy.

In the rare event that an owner agrees to show you his/her yacht before the reservation, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you with the process.

There are many ways to learn more about the listing you are interested in without having to see the yacht, such as:

• Personal messages
• Verified profiles
• Reviews
• Verified photos

Also, the owners are required to give us personal information which we always verify before accepting the listing on our website.

Do I need to sign a charter party before the trip?

Yes. In many countries it is necessary that guests and the person responsible for the yacht, who is usually the captain, sign a charter party before the trip starts, which will be delivered to the port authority in charge. The charter party includes all the necessary information such as the details of the yacht, who the guest is, and who the captain is, as well as the amount of money paid for the charter.

I am a guest, what must I definitely have with me to sign the charter party?

• My identity card or my passport.

• My tax registration number (TRN) & the Public Financial Service I am registered in.

• Personal information (home address, phone number).

What are the Fuel & Mooring fees?
The price for fuel & mooring per day is set by the owner as long as he/she wants to give this option to his/her guests. It concerns the possible expenses of fuel and mooring fees, electricity and water in the marina, per day. Based on their experience, the owners set the price that they consider covers these expenses of their yacht, for a full day. In case the owner gives this option in his/her listing, the guests have the ability to pay in advance for these expenses, if they wish.
What is the different terminal marina fee?

A different terminal marina gives the traveler the option to pay in advance in order to disembark from the yacht in any marina within the cruising range. This way, guests can travel carefree without fearing that they will not manage to return to the basic marina on time due to bad weather. Instead, the guests are able to disembark in the location that they will be at the end of their trip.
